If the Hendersonville Christian Academy Crusaders were riding high off their 64-39 takedown of Varsity Opponent last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hendersonville Christian Academy ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-26 walloping at the hands of Dayspring Academy on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hendersonville Christian Academy has scored all season.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Roy, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade White, who scored eight points.
John-Michael Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dayspring Academy, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals. Martin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Hendersonville Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Dayspring Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-13 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hendersonville Christian Academy will challenge Currey Ingram Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Currey Ingram Academy is ranked 433rd, while Hendersonville Christian Academy is ranked 424th). Dayspring Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Agathos Classical at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
