The Michigan Lutheran Titans will face off against the Berrien Springs Shamrocks at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Michigan Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Michigan Lutheran's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on River Valley with a sharp 6-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly six runs.
Ben Liebich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Michigan Lutheran: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 9-12 otherwise.

In other batting news, Colton Stegman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
Michigan Lutheran hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
Berrien Springs let Schoolcraft stack four runs on them in the first inning on Thursday but luckily Berrien Springs prevailed anyway. The Shamrocks had just enough and edged out the Eagles 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Shamrocks have posted since April 22nd.
Like Michigan Lutheran, Berrien Springs also got a great game from a two-way player: Tye Robinson. He pitched five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Brewer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan McCrary, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Michigan Lutheran pushed their record up to 17-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Berrien Springs, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-11.
