While losing is never fun, Wheaton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Sherwood is ranked 42nd).
Meanwhile, Richard Montgomery pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seneca Valley.
Wheaton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Richard Montgomery, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.
Wheaton took a serious blow against Richard Montgomery in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, falling 78-41. Can Wheaton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
