East is 1-9 against Downingtown East since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Cougars at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times East and Kennett had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Vikings blew past the Blue Demons 12-4 on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Blue Demons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Ferri Ava spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. East hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Downingtown East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
