The Decatur Golden Gators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Central Kitsap for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-36 victory on the road. Considering Decatur has won five games by more than 34 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Decatur's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Anderson, who scored 11 points along with six assists. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Leilah Mulivai-Tobin, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
The win was the fourth in a row for Decatur, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Central Kitsap, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Decatur will face off against Rogers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Kitsap, they will head out on the road to face off against Yelm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yelm is on a three-game streak of home losses, Central Kitsap a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
