Beverly hadn't done well against Danvers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 21-25, 25-13.
Beverly's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jane Cosmas, who had three digs, three aces, and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Lidia Miedema, who had eight aces and two blocks.

They weren't the only good server: Beverly was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Danvers' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Autumn Buckley, who had four aces and three digs, and Lauren Garofalo, who had five digs and four aces. Buckley has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.
The victory made it two in a row for Beverly and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Danvers, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
Beverly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Swampscott on the 12th. As for Danvers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Salem on the 11th.
