Volleyball Recap: Union Gets the Win

Union's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the DeSoto Dragons by a score of 3-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Union walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 25-15, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Morgan Sherwood and Rilynn Wingenbach, who picked up eight kills apiece. Sherwood really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 23. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Union's win bumped their record up to 2-13. As for DeSoto, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11-2.

Coming up, Union will venture away from home to square off against New Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for DeSoto, they will host Ste. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
