DeKalb is 8-2 against East Noble since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Barons will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. DeKalb will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While DeKalb didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on New Haven with a sharp 12-3 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Barons have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aydan Parr and Bryson Gadson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Parr pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Gadson tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, Parr posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Parr went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Gadson went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Parr also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brendan Vance, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Brady Vince was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
DeKalb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, East Noble wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Parker Kerr was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.
At the plate, East Noble saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Ramey, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
DeKalb pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for East Noble, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. DeKalb has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Noble struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
DeKalb couldn't quite get it done against East Noble when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Barons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
