The Escalante Lobos fell victim to the Santa Rosa Lions''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Lions, falling 55-0. Escalante has struggled against Santa Rosa recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Santa Rosa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nicolas Chavez out in front who rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Chavez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Another player making a difference was Jykub Gage, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Escalante's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Santa Rosa, the win was the eighth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Escalante does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Santa Rosa is also done with their season.
