After flying high against the East Coweta Indians last Thursday, the Westlake Lions came back down to earth. The contest between Westlake and Campbell wasn't particularly close, with Westlake falling 53-35. Westlake has struggled against Campbell recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Brooke Suttle was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds for Campbell. Another player making a difference was Tai Harvey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Campbell, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
Westlake and Pebblebrook will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pebblebrook has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. As for Campbell, they will head out on the road to square off against East Coweta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Coweta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Campbell is ranked 36th).
