The Lassiter Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season. They really took it to Johns Creek for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-19 victory at home. With that win, Lassiter brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Lassiter was led to victory by Kenzie Wyman and Sophie Hortman. Wyman scored 14 points, while Hortman scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Cain, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Lassiter, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Johns Creek, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-15.
Lassiter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Walton at 2:30 p.m. on January 6th. Walton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Johns Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Alpharetta at 6:00 p.m. Alpharetta and Johns Creek are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
