If The Oswego Indians were feeling good off their 56-8 takedown of the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Oswego suffered a tough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Chase County on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Oswego can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Chase County is ranked 14th).
Despite the loss, Oswego still got an impressive performance from Josh Hutchinson, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Owen Jackson was another key contributor, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns.
Oswego now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Chase County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Oswego does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chase County will square off against Moundridge at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Moundridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
