Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Warren, who went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Warren has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Kate Barton was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.
Salem Hills was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, Maple Mountain lost a heartbreaker to Springville when they met back in February of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. Maple Mountain took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springville. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Salem Hills will need focus on slowing down Leah Bailey, one of several Maple Mountain players who made an impact when they last played. She went 7 for 12 on her way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Lainhart, who posted 13 points.
Salem Hills pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Maple Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Salem Hills has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.2 boards per game.
