Northland Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-28 loss at the hands of Lutheran North. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northland Christian in their matchups with Lutheran North: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Alpha Omega Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 42-38 to Westbury Christian. Alpha Omega Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alpha Omega Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddie Wallace, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds, and Kathryn Peach who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Peach hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Northland Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Alpha Omega Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Northland Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Alpha Omega Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 37-34. Will Northland Christian repeat their success, or does Alpha Omega Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
