The Priory Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell just short of Harker by a score of 2-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Priory couldn't quite close it out.
Priory dropped their record down to 1-8-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Harker, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10-1 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Priory will take on Menlo School at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Harker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacred Heart Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Sacred Heart Prep's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
