P.K. Yonge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Belleville, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Belleville also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, everything went Saint Francis Catholic's way against Riverside Christian on Thursday as Saint Francis Catholic made off with an 11-1 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.
Andy Janelle made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Janelle was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, Saint Francis Catholic got a massive performance out of Chris Durstine, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Durstine has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Williams, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Saint Francis Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs over those games. As for P.K. Yonge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
