Tarpon Springs is 2-8 against Seminole since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Tarpon Springs will challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. Tarpon Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tarpon Springs and Lakewood meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Tarpon Springs fell 4-1 to Lakewood.

Alex Finch was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Seminole sidestepped Hollins for a 4-2 win. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Mack McGinnis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
In other batting news, Shane Stalbird was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Seminole lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Tarpon Springs' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-9. As for Seminole, their record now sits at 14-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tarpon Springs has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Seminole struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Tarpon Springs skirted past Seminole 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tarpon Springs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
