Softball Recap: Tahoma Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tahoma waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Enumclaw Hornets. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alexa Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off ten hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Ramirez wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily Tausch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tahoma's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Enumclaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tahoma will venture away from home to face off against Ephrata on Saturday. Tahoma is facing Ephrata at the right time seeing as Ephrata is stuck on a three-game losing streak. We've got a battle between Hornets coming up. Enumclaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
