It was a good run, but the Cinnaminson Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Trenton Catholic Academy 64-59. Cinnaminson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trenton Catholic Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Trenton Catholic Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mayah Alford out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Alford is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Kayla Oliphant was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Cinnaminson's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Cinnaminson will head out on the road to challenge Delran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Delran has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they will take on University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
