Middle College is 9-1 against Foshay since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Middle College Cougars will be playing at home against the Foshay Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Middle College is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Middle College suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 62-42 loss at the hands of Horace Mann UCLA Community.
In what's become a running theme this season, Foshay gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 80-28 win over Animo South Los Angeles at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-13.
Foshay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Wright, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wright has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Egwurube, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
Middle College's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Foshay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Middle College was able to grind out a solid victory over Foshay in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 56-46. Will Middle College repeat their success, or does Foshay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
