Tualatin hasn't had much luck against West Linn recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Timberwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tualatin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Lakeridge on Friday as they made off with a 28-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Reese Strode made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
Tualatin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, West Linn hadn't done well against Oregon City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Pioneers 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Lions have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
West Linn also got a great performance from Meadow Sanborn as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Sakys, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
West Linn's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Tualatin, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-10.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tualatin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like West Linn struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tualatin came up short against West Linn in their previous meeting last Wednesday, falling 9-4. Will the Timberwolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
