On the hitting side, Dominic Zito and Chris Bell did some serious damage despite the final result: Zito scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Bell scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Bozeman has posted since back in March. Maximus Mayes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.
Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.1 strikeouts.
