Baseball Game Preview: Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens vs. Parish Hill Pirates

For the first time this season, Academy of Science and Innovation will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to square off against the Parish Hill Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of Science and Innovation's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Academy of Science and Innovation challenged Prince RVT on Friday. The Ravens lost 15-2 to the Falcons.

Academy of Science and Innovation saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Grant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Grant has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, Parish Hill fell victim to Cheney Tech and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 17-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Academy of Science and Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Parish Hill, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Academy of Science and Innovation couldn't quite finish off Parish Hill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
