The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Felicity-Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
Felicity-Franklin pushed their score all the way to 59, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 78-59 to Fayetteville-Perry. Felicity-Franklin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Felicity-Franklin saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Caleb Ninichuck, who scored 14 points along with three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Ninichuck continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Broadwell, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lynchburg-Clay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 57-41 fall against North Adams. While losing is never fun, Lynchburg-Clay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 612th, while North Adams is ranked 144th).
Felicity-Franklin has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
