Chicago Mathematics & Science has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Chicago Mathematics & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Monday.
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chicago Mathematics & Science can now relate to. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boilermakers. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joune Woods, who scored 16 points along with five steals and five blocks. He hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was August Ineka, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Legal Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 63-54 to Kelvyn Park.
Maurquese Washington put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of TyShawn Spires, who scored eight points.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. Legal Prep's record now sits at 14-10.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Chicago Mathematics & Science hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.3 points per game. However, it's not like Legal Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 57 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
