This season hasn't been kind to the Coral Gables Cavaliers, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They fell  46-36 to Goleman on Monday. While losing is never fun, Coral Gables can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 557th, while Goleman is ranked 260th).
  Sela Pe?a and  Kamariya Dekle certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss.  Pe?a  scored eight points, while  Dekle  scored six points.
 Goleman got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Akayla  Edwards out in front who  scored 18 points along with six  steals and five  rebounds. Those six  steals set a new season-high mark for  Edwards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jasmin Brown, who  scored 14 points along with five  steals.
 Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Goleman, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
 Coral Gables will be playing at home against Palmetto at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Goleman, they will head out on the road to face off against North Miami Beach at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. North Miami Beach's defense has only allowed 23.8  points per game this season, so Goleman's offense will have their work cut out for Goleman.
