It was a good run, but South Grand Prairie unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Brennan Bears and fell 83-50. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bears are ranked second).

Kingston Flemings continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brennan, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten assists. Flemings is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Donovan Criss, who went 9 of 12 en route to 24 points.

South Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Brennan, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

South Grand Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-37 victory against Argyle on the 28th. As for Brennan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-53 win against Ellison on the 28th.
