The Middlesex Bluejays entered their tilt with the Metuchen Bulldogs with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Middlesex managed a 58-52 victory over Metuchen on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Middlesex also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Metuchen lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben Santus, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Santus' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Matt Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Middlesex's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Metuchen, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Middlesex will head out on the road to face off against Bound Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Metuchen, they will be playing at home against Carteret at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
