Warsaw faced Penn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tigers skirted past the Kingsmen 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Kingsmen on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Cecelia Goode paced Warsaw's offense, picking up ten kills. Goode got some help from Avary Hoeppner and her 20 assists. Finally, Reagan Edwards kept Warsaw's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Several Kingsmen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Montana Swartz, who had nine assists and seven digs. Another player making a difference was Carson Petty, who had 12 assists and four digs.

Warsaw's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Penn, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Warsaw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chesterton on the 30th. As for Penn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against New Prairie on the 30th.
