The Madison Plains Golden Eagles lost against the Cedarville Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Madison Plains took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedarville. Madison Plains has not had much luck with Cedarville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Madison Plains' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lyla Coil, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Vallery, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Madison Plains' loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Cedarville, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Madison Plains will be playing in front of their home fans against Greeneview at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cedarville, they will head out on the road to take on Greenon at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Greenon will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
