St. Paul is 9-1 against Monroeville since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Flyers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, St. Paul humbled Mapleton with a 50-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won four games by 38 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Paul to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Fries, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown. Fries also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Flyers are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise. Nicholas Pocos was another key rusher, rushing for 84 yards and two TDs on only eight carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Paul was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
St. Paul didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Wyatt Houser, River Couch, Levi Rospert, and Fries picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Monroeville came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 28-26 victory over the Cougars. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.
St. Paul now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Monroeville, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
St. Paul barely slipped by Monroeville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 29-28. Do the Flyers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
