St. Patrick is a perfect 10-0 against Our Lady Academy since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Fighting Irish will welcome the Crescents at 6:30 p.m. St. Patrick knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Our Lady Academy likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, St. Patrick got the win against Presbyterian Christian by a conclusive 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Irish, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Peyton Parks spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits. She is also on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

On the hitting side, Mackenzye Stapp and Sophia Oehms did most of the damage at the plate: Stapp went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Oehms went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Stapp a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annalie Howard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Patrick kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matchups.
Lumberton hit Our Lady Academy with a seven-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crescents lost 12-5 to the Panthers. The Crescents have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Olivia Mares was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Lilly Garcia was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
St. Patrick pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Our Lady Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Patrick hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. However, it's not like Our Lady Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went St. Patrick's way against Our Lady Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as St. Patrick made off with a 14-0 victory. Will the Fighting Irish repeat their success, or do the Crescents have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
