Vancleave's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
East Central's loss came despite strong showings from Cartavious Myers and Brody Howard. Myers scored 18 points, while Howard scored 15 points. Myers scored a full 35.3% of East Central's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Hopkins, who scored seven points.
Vancleave's win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for East Central, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vancleave won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wayne County at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Wayne County is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. East Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Richton at 12:00 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Richton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Friday.
