The Roosevelt Rough Riders struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Saturday (the Louisville Leopards were 22% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Roosevelt was beaten by Louisville 64-30. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Louisville is ranked 52nd).
Jaden Dennison was Roosevelt's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Jack Smith held things down on the boards with three rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Louisville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Gross out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gross has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Nigro, who scored 18 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Roosevelt and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Louisville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will face off against Aurora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisville and Alliance will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Alliance has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
