After a string of eight wins, Columbus International's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They took  a  59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Stars.  Despite the loss, Columbus International still got an impressive performance from   Leila Carter, who  dropped  a double-double on 26 points and 21  boards. Carter is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games she's  played.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kennedy Houston, who  posted 27  points along with six  boards and five  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Houston has scored at least a third of Centennial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aza Corbett, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 22  rebounds.
Columbus International's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-3. As for Centennial, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
 Columbus International and Centennial should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Columbus International will  square off against  Northland  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday up  428 places (289 vs. 717). Columbus International is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Meanwhile,  Centennial (ranked 164th) will meet Beechcroft (ranked 606th)  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Columbus International is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1  points per game  this season.
