The Broad Run Spartans lost against the Woodgrove Wolverines back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Broad Run took a serious blow against Woodgrove, falling 44-14. Broad Run has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Broad Run had strong showings from Aslin Shipe, who rushed for 114 yards, and Gavin Sidhu, who rushed for 81 yards on only nine carries. Shipe is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Broad Run's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Woodgrove, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broad Run will take on John Champe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Champe is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Woodgrove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuscarora is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
