Mylee Mitchell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 20 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ava Helsel, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Claysburg-Kimmel pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Northern Bedford County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Northern Bedford County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Claysburg-Kimmel hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339.
