Crystal City had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. On Friday, they lost to Chaffee by a decisive 0-20 margin. If Crystal City were expecting payback for the 0-48 loss against Chaffee the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Crystal City off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Chaffee a 1-0 record.
Next week, Crystal City take on Kelly at 7:00 PM. As for Chaffee, they will face of against Cabool.
