Waverly extended the longest winning streak in Lyon County (8 Man) this week by beating Chetopa, 54-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Lebo took down Burlingame 58-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Waverly's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tanner Sipe has thrown for 675 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Myers has 13 catches for 276 yards. Austin Bailey leads the league in rushing with 906 yards.
Waverly's Bailey needs only 94 yards against Southern Coffey County next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mike Hevel's team takes on the Titans. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in first, while Southern Coffey County is in fifth.
Marais des Cygnes Valley made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 333 from 600. The improvement came about via a 52-40 victory over St. Paul last week.
