The New Bloomfield Wildcats lost against the Linn Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. New Bloomfield took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Linn. New Bloomfield has not had much luck with Linn recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
New Bloomfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Fuhriman, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Fouch, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Linn's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gus Peters, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peters has scored all season. Noah Hall was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
New Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Linn, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
New Bloomfield will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Callaway at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in South Callaway's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Linn will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Fayette at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
