The Loganville Christian Academy Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Providence Christian Academy with a 64-60 victory. Loganville Christian Academy's win was all the more impressive since Providence Christian Academy was averaging only 29.1 points allowed on the season.
Addi Petitt was her usual excellent self, scoring 42 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ture Kara, who scored two points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Providence Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoie Cameron, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Truong, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Loganville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-1.
Loganville Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against John Milledge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Milledge Academy will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Providence Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bethlehem Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. Bethlehem Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Providence Christian Academy is ranked 132nd).
