Tot Pacheco Drops League-Best Effort on Thursday
Starting off the list is St. David's Tot Pacheco, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pacheco picked up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown.
St. David pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Pacheco and St. David will look to defend their home field on Friday against Desert Christian at 7:00 p.m.

Yahir Luna Dazzles in Valley Union Win
Yahir Luna was a major factor in Valley Union's win over Duncan on Friday. Duncan had no answer to Luna as he rushed for 97 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Luna also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
For the season, Luna has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 107.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 4.57 rushing yards per game.

Myles Richardson Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Valley Union got the W thanks in part to Myles Richardson playing the best football he has all season. Richardson rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 85 yards.
For the season, Richardson has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 44.9 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.71 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 75.43 rushing yards.

Day Came Up Big in Ray's 60-40 Loss
Jason Day continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least three passing touchdowns. He threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards on only eight carries.
Superior's probably not too fond of Day given he always seems to get the better of them. Day rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 70 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in September of 2023.

Tanner Decker Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Tanner Decker of San Manuel. Decker rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.
San Manuel dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Decker and San Manuel will challenge Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
