This season hasn't been kind to The Hellgate Knights, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were outmatched by Flathead at home and fell 48-12. Hellgate was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Flathead apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Hellgate lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Corbin Weltzien. Despite the final result, he rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Brett Pesola had a dynamite game for Flathead, rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Jaden Williams was another key contributor, gaining 79 total yards and a touchdown.
Hellgate's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for Flathead, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.
Hellgate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Flathead is also done with their season.
