The West Point Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Brewer Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Last Saturday, West Point was fully in charge, breezing past Pennington 68-29 at home. Given West Point's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Pennington is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Brewer's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Russellville on the road and fell 99-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Brewer's defeat came about despite a quality game from Cason Oden, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Frazier, who scored 8 points.
Good Hope's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while West Point's defeat dropped theirs to 8-3.
West Point couldn't quite finish off Brewer in their previous meeting back in January and fell 47-44. Can West Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
