The power rankings have experienced a modest tune-up after last week's playoff battles. A special shoutout goes to IC Catholic Prep's sophomore Kyle Franklin, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.

IC Catholic Prep's 49 - 27 win over Marengo last week had a lot to do with the leadership of sophomore Kyle Franklin. Franklin earned six touchdowns and 338 yards rushing the ball. In fact, our algorithms singled out Franklin as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Loyola Academy (6th in the power rankings) took on Maine South (10th) last week. Loyola Academy had a great defensive game, holding Maine South to zero points to set up the 17 - 0 win. Loyola Academy saw its record improve to 9-3 and its power rank jump six places as a result.

The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Marist (3rd in the power rankings) and Brother Rice (2nd).
