The Winslow Bulldogs will take on the River Valley Dust Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Winslow will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
On Tuesday, Winslow made easy work of Blue Ridge and carried off a 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kyah Wilcox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Cassius Tsosie was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emily Wilbanks, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Winslow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 13-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, River Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Kingman by a score of 8-7.
Like Winslow, River Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Sophia Reyes. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Reyes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tamarie Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Chastiny Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Winslow has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Winslow hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like River Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Winslow couldn't quite finish off River Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2019 and fell 3-1. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
