Despite their defeat, Sacred Heart Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brooke Personius, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Personius hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Zablocki, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Nardin Academy came up short against Nichols on Thursday and fell 59-47. Nardin Academy has struggled against Nichols recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Sacred Heart Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Nardin Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything went Sacred Heart Academy's way against Nardin Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Sacred Heart Academy made off with a 67-43 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Nardin Academy's Rachel Hanley, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
