Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Bryan County Redskins, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Wolverines on Friday. Bryan County's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Bryan County still got an impressive performance from Austin Clemons, who rushed for 143 yards.
It was another big night for Aaron Philo, who threw for 490 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing scores for Prince Avenue Christian. Cj Dockery also helped out as he racked up 121 receiving yards.
Bryan County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-1 record.
Bryan County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Prince Avenue Christian will be playing at home against Swainsboro at 4:00 p.m. on December 11th. Swainsboro's defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so Prince Avenue Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Prince Avenue Christian.
