The Ribault Trojans fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Oakleaf Knights on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 80-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. Ribault's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Ribault still got an impressive performance from Caleb Williams, who scored 33 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals. The contest was Williams' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaheim Robinson, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds.
Ribault's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Oakleaf, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record.
Ribault won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 2:00 p.m. on December 8th. Paxon School For Advanced Studies and Ribault are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Oakleaf, they will face off against Providence School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Oakleaf is ranked 113th).
