Parowan have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Monument Valley on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.
Parowan came within a touchdown against Millard two weeks ago, but wound up with a 24-34 loss. Parowan got a solid performance out of senior Porter Wood, who rushed for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. In fact, with 11 tackles Wood was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Monument Valley took the contest and then some with a 56-0 win last week.
Monument Valley's win lifted them to 2-1 while Parowan's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Monument Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Parowan can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Monument Valley's step.
